Pioneering

County Adviser: Colin Scarff

This is the art of building structures out of wood and ropes, normally using a range of different sized poles. It brings out elements of creativity, problem solving and team building. It is a classic camp activity but also would fill an evening programme. Projects can be adapted to be relevant all the various scout sections.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
