Summer Scramble
Hello Cubs – happy summer holidays !
Hello Cubs, happy summer holidays!
I’m Steve and this is year 2 of summer scramble!!
This year we are launching the Cub Summer Scramble 2025 event for you.
There are 20 activities for you to try over the summer holidays, you don’t have to do them all but the more you do the more badges you could earn and the more cub fun you will have!
The activities will all count towards parts of different badges – if you would like to complete the whole badge you can look the badge up online or in your Cub Scout Badge book for more details on the other elements required to gain your badge.
For each challenge you do, you will need to document it by taking photos and writing about what you have done and put them together into a scrap book – this could be a physical or virtual book. When you have completed your Summer Scramble Scrapbook, write a list of what are your favourite things you do at cubs and what new things you would like to do.
When you return to Cubs after the summer please hand in/email your Scrap Book to your leader so that they can record the parts of the badges you have completed.
You only need to register once!!
but you do need to REGISTER to get your summer scramble badge sent to you !

Register for Summer SCRAMble
Each Cub needs to be registered individually by an adult. This means they will be eligible to receive a Summer SCRAMble badge which will be distributed via leaders in the autumn term when the event is finished. We will not order the badges until the event is over to ensure that we have the correct number of badges. The badge will be able to be worn on the uniform until 31st December 2025. There is no cost for participation if you are a member of Surrey Scouts. If you live outside of Surrey and wish to have a badge, contact the county office (countyoffice@surrey-scouts.org.uk) after the event and we can send one to you at a cost of £2.
The Challenges – will become visible on 18th July
