Planes, Boats and Trains for 1st Frimley Green and Mytchett

Date: 3rd Aug 2018 Author: Scout Websites

The Carnival theme was Planes, Boats and Trains and we decided to decorate our float to recognise 100+ years of flight with Samuel Cody. The Beavers and Cubs from 1st FG&M dressed as Samuel Cody (either as a cowboy or pilot).  We had great support from the parents to decorate the float and all our efforts were rewarded with Winner for the category “Best of the Rest”. The Beavers and Cubs were delighted. Following the procession, the Beavers went on to play a football match on The Green and the Ref. decided the team names would be Belgium and France!  As it was a very hot day, the match time was reduced from 20 minutes to 10 minutes. The result was a 0-0 draw!  Each Beaver received a medal for taking part. At the end of the Carnival, we did a litter pick to support the Carnival Committee.  A busy but rewarding community event.
