Banstead District Cubs Out and About

Date: 9th Oct 2022 Author: Alistair Tickett

On the first weekend of October, 85 cubs and 16 leaders from Cub packs in the Banstead District went on a 4.5 mile hike together through Chipstead and Banstead Woods back to Park Farm, our local campsite.

Once at Park Farm, the cubs had hot chocolate and biscuits, put on their campfire blankets and finished their afternoon with a great campfire singalong.

This was our first time being all together since lockdown. We had a great fun afternoon and are looking forward to lots more district cub adventures to come in 2023!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
