4th Weybridge Animal Adventure

Date: 1st Jun 2019 Author: Alistair Tickett

When 4th Weybridge decided it was time for an adventure, they headed off to Merrist Wood in Woking.  As well as being an agricultural college, Merrist Wood also arranges for groups to spend time with the animals that they keep on site.  The Beavers and their leaders spent time admiring the lambs and then investigated the 3 rooms that were home to a full range of warm climate and cold climate animals.

The Beavers (and leaders!) got to handle all sorts of animals as well and finding out about their natural habitat.

This is one trip that comes highly recommended for all Beaver colonies!

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
