Date: 3rd Mar 2019 Author: Alistair Tickett

On 5th March 1987, Wind in the Willows Beaver Scout Colony at 1st Frimley Green & Mytchett Scout Group (Surrey Heath District) invited 12 boys to come along to find out about Beavers. 32 years later and with a constant supply of 24 Beavers, the Colony is still enjoying the Scouting experience. Sue Hathaway, Beaver Scout Leader (known as Mole) helped to get the Colony started and is still enjoying her Scouting experience. Her Assistant Beaver Scout Leader, Diana Hammond (known as Badger) joined the Colony about 10 years later. 32 years of making friends and having fun needed to be celebrated and so the Beaver Scouts enjoyed a variety of party games as well as cake!
