Wood Badge Training

This training is for Leaders in all four Sections working towards achieving the Wood Badge, and for Section Assistants and Adult Helpers requiring the skills to assist the Section Leader.

The modules are delivered over four separate days, clustered across two or more weekends. It is possible to select specific days to suit availability and may be completed in any order.  The majority of core modules are covered across four days.

These days are also suitable for anyone wishing to refresh their learning.

Day 1 covers the following modules:
The Fundamentals of Scouting – Module 5
Skills of Leadership – Module 8
Working with Adults – Module 9
Practical Skills – Module 18 (theory)

Day 2 covers the following modules:
Administration – Module 11
Delivering a Quality Programme – Module 12a
Programme Planning – Module 12b
International – Module 19
Ceremonies

Day 3 covers the following modules:
Scouting For All – Module 7
Supporting Young People – Module 14
Promoting Positive Behaviour – Module 15

Day 4 covers the following modules:
Growing the Section – Module 13
Running Safe Activities – Module 17:
Practical Skills – Module 18 (practical)
Games with a Purpose
