Surrey Scout Training Trust

Surrey Scout Training Trust

The Trust was established in 1989 with the intention of funding Scout Leader Training for leaders within Surrey Scouts.  The county now funds all core training and the Trust concentrates on supporting adults with non-core training such as climbing courses.  It is a separate trust to Surrey Scouts although it reports its finances to both Surrey Scouts and the Charities Commission.  The AGM is held at the July meeting of the Surrey Scout Board of Trustees.

The Trust will fund a percentage of the fees as agreed by the trustees who are currently:

  • Chair: Joe Rogerson
  • Administrator: Kerry Edwards
  • Treasurer: Paul Johnson
  • Pauline Lewer
  • Alistair Tickett
  • Matt Willis

Leaders applying for funding for a course are required to have engaged with relevant core training for their current roles and must seek the agreement of the District Commissioner to apply.

To apply

Application is made by completing the application form and returning it to the Trust Administrator, Kerry Edwards.
