Cyclocross 2018

Date: 10th Mar 2018 Author: Scout Websites

Congratulations to the Scouts and Explorers who battled through the snow and mud at Cyclocross 2018 on Ranmore Common.

Conditions were challenging with the ground conditions varying from soft and squidgy  to mud, the temperature no much above freezing and a couple of showers thrown in for good measure. Nothing to worry Surrey Scouts who took it all in their stride, albeit finishing tired, wet chilly and slightly muddy.

We ran a series of heats and finals for Scouts of different ages while Mick and his team provided much needed hot refreshments. The Media team were again busy and you can see their hard work in the website gallery https://surreyscouts.smugmug.com/Public-Galleries/County-Events/County-Cyclocross-2018/

Each competitor receives a certificate and the top three riders in each age group race are awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze medals, presented this year by our County Commissioner Joe Rogerson.
