39 scouts, explorers and leaders from Hersham ventured to Norway for the last two weeks of August, including five days on Svalbard in the Arctic Circle.
Whilst viewing fjords, mountains and glaciers the group took part in white water rafting, via ferrata, ice climbing, mountain biking, husky sledding, canyoning and bobsleigh. They were also lucky enough to spot three polar bears, including a mother and cub. Norway is a spectacular and safe country to visit, and surprisingly good value with good planning. Everyone had a brilliant trip, and the group are already planning their next international adventure!
