Leaders Expo

Venue: Bisley Shooting Ground

Join us for a morning of shooting and learn how to include shooting in your Scouting programme. This event is open to leaders from any county.

Club members will be on hand to supervise the shooting and to talk to you about how you can introduce shooting into your Scout activities and what we can do as a SASU to help you with it.  At the Club, we have members who shoot air rifles and small and fullbore rifles, so it’s almost certain that someone will be able to help or offer advice.

Explorer Scouts will be shooting for the Coronation Cup in the afternoon.  If you have young people from your group competing (or even if you don’t), it would be great if you could stay to lend a hand with butt marking and general organisation.

The ticket price covers your day’s range fee; ammunition is charged when used.  We will collect payment for ammunition on the range during the day.  Expect to pay £11.00 for a detail shooting a 7.62 calibre rifle and £2.50 per detail using a .22 rifle.

You also will have the opportunity to be part of the butts team marking targets.

Don’t worry if you are a beginner; the event is open to all, and we provide all the equipment and supervision you need to enjoy your day safely.  We want you to be challenged, learn a new skill if you haven’t shot on Bisley ranges, and enjoy a shooting experience that is probably unique to UK Scouting.
