Nights Away Skills – Camp Gadgets 2 (intermediate Pioneering)

Date: 12th October 2024 Between: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm Location: Bentley Copse

For adult supporters who wish to teach camp craft skills for young people, i.e.  how to make simple, useful, items to enhance life at camp. This Skills Learning supports the Beaver – Camp Craft Activity badge, Cub – Pioneering Activity Badge, Scout – Pioneering Activity badge, Explorer – Pioneering Activity badge, All Sections – Nights Away Staged Activity Badge.

Content will focus on intermediate principles (mechanics) of how Pioneering works, pickets, pulleys, and how to make intermediate frames from spars and staves:

Bridge,

Camp dresser,

Dining table (pub garden style),

Flagpole.
