Module 38-3-22 – Skills for Residential Experiences
This course delivers the skills needed to apply for a Nights Away Permit. It is also suitable for adults who wish to support Nights Away events.
The course consists of a series of online sessions (dates to be published soon) leading to one practical residential weekend course.
This is the third of 3 courses for 2022. The courses will all be held at Bentley Copse and will be residential (camping in tents) and will be a practical, hands-on weekend. Skills covered will include:
- Choosing a Venue for your Nights Away event
- Camp Layout
- Pitching a variety of tents
- Knife, Axe and Saw
- Catering
- Wood Fires
- Backwoods Cooking
- Camp Gadgets
- Hammocks & Tarpaulins
- Toilets & Safe Drinking Water
- Incident Trails
- Campfires
- Programme Planning
