The Scout Association splits it's members into age based groups. Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts are run by individual Scout Groups that are local and make up the larger scout district. Explorer Scouts is run at a District Level and the Scout Network is run at a County Level.

Beaver Scouts are usually six to eight years old.[Beaver Scouts]

Cub Scouts are usually eight to ten and a half years old.

Scouts are usually ten and a half to fourteen years old.

Explorer Scouts are usually fourteen to eighteen years old.

Scout Network Members are usually eighteen to twenty five years old.

In Surrey we also run our Special Needs Units as a section as well therefore dedicating an Assistant County Commissioner to the units and also allowing all the special needs advisors to become County resources rather than District resources.
