On Saturday 5th March 2011, 34 teams of Explorer Scouts and 4 teams of Network Scouts set out on the Surrey County Night Challenge, the County's annual Night Incident Hike. The event was staged in the countryside surrounding Blackland Farm camp near East Grinstead.

The Advanced Challenge was won by Maverick Explorer Scout Unit (Woking District), with 34th Reigate (Meadvale) and 1st Hinchley Wood tied for second place. Congratulations should also be extended to the other 12 teams that completed the whole course of 23 kms.

The Intermediate Challenge (12 kms) was won by Intrepid Explorer Scout Unit (Runnymede District), with Martians ESU and Wey Ahead ESU (both from Woking District) in second & third places.

The Network Challenge was won by Reigate Scout Network, with Juno (Woking) second and 1st Hinchley Wood (Esher) third.

The Scout Fellowship Trophy (awarded to the team competing in the "best spirit") was awarded to Runnymede Scout Network.
