Cub Scout Cooking Competition

On Saturday 12 November four teams of eager young chefs representing Banstead, Epsom & Ewell, Runnymede and Surrey Heath Districts arrived at 1^st/4^th Addlestone HQ for the final of the Cooking Competition.

Again, as other years the standard was extremely high making the judging very difficult and in the end there was only two points between the four teams.   My thanks to Alan and Mary Osborn for doing the judging for the semi-finals and the final, they always manage to do a sterling job and give the Cub Scouts so much help and encouragement.

The team have done extremely well as they have already won in their district competition to get to the semi-final, then won that to secure a place in the final.  Unfortunately we have to have a winner and on  the day Epsom and Ewell took 1^st place, closely followed in 2^nd place by Runnymede and the runners-up with the same points were Banstead and Surrey Heath.

My congratulation to all the teams for their hard work to produce such superb meals.  Again, thanks to Alan and Mary for judging and to 1^st / 4^th Addlestone for their hospitality.
