The Big 25 Challenge - To Celebrate 25 years of Beaver Scouting in Surrey
This set of Challenges are for you to work on in your Colony over the whole year from Feb 2011 to Feb 2012. Just select 25 out of the choices given and work on them 5 at a time. Make them harder or easier as you wish or invent some of your own.
Badges will be sent soon to your ADC.
There is a complete set of 5 which will become “the Ladder of Success”.The badges will be worn on the Beaver Scouts left sleeve.
As we think it will be a good idea to record what you did to climb the ladder we have added a special Ultimate Challenge. Any Beaver Scout who would like to make a Scrap Book and record the years events can enter this.
The leader will find an independent judge to select the winner and runner up. These will then go into a District completion and the ADC choose an independent judge. The winner and runner up of these will judged by Sue Hathaway, Sharon Andrews and Wendy Kislingbury. These three winners and runner ups will then meet up at a Tea Party and an overall winner and runner up will get a County Trophy each which will be engraved with their name and Colony.
Keep watching the web site for a poster that the Beaver Scouts can colour in and mark where they are on the ladder.
I do hope you will take up the Challenge. If you have done all your planning how about a Sleepover to complete a Challenge Day.
