Surrey is lucky enough to have plenty of camping areas within the County. As a County, Surrey Scouts have been responsible for Bentley Copse Campsite for many years and as of 2006, Surrey has now taken on the management responsibility for Walton Firs Campsite.

In addition to these larger "County Managed" sites, there are several smaller "District Managed" sites which can be found in our list of campsites. Scoutbase UK, the official members website for the Scout Association has a vast Campsite Directory. We also recommend this resource is used to find sites outside of the Surrey County Boundary.

Walton Firs Foundation

As you may be aware, the future of Walton Firs Campsite has been the subject of much speculation since early 2004. We are pleased to announce that arrangements are now in place to secure the site’s future as a place for Scouts and Guides.

However, in order to secure the site's future the sum of £800,000 needs to be raised so the site can be purchased. Your help is needed. Please take at look at the details of the Walton Firs Foundation.
