As an alternative to repeating the rather excellent campsite directory on Scoutbase UK, we have listed all the campsites available to Surrey Scouts within (or perhaps just outside) the county, with links to Scoutbase or the campsite's own web page where they exist. So if this list has only basic information on a site, you'll find more details by using the links.

Surrey County's own campsite nestling in the leafy foothills of the South Downs. Open throughout the year (apart from Christmas) with many local attractions available. Substantial information brochure available from the warden.

Jointly owned by Epsom & Ewell and Leatherhead, this site adjoins National Trust land and has 11 individual sites set in mainly chestnut woods, available from March 1st to November 31st. In addition, available throughout the year, is the Manly building which can cater for 36 persons and has a kitchen and Leaders room. There is a modern toilet block with free hot showers, a payphone and First Aid when the warden is on site (weekends or by arrangement). The site is close to High Ashurst, Surrey County Council Adventure centre and Small village general store (1 mile). Boxhill and Headley Heath countryside areas are easily accessable.

Farnham District's site with 8 Patrol sites and space for approximately 80 camping. The site is a pleasant mainly level 7 acre field with easy access from the road, and bonded on one side by a shallow river. Flush toilets, standpipes and a permanent building with kitchen and toilets (including disabled facilities) are available March-October. Farnham town is 3 miles to the north with Tilford village within walking distance (bridle path)

Epsom Division Guides' campsite in Horton Country Park - part of the Green belt. This is a basic site but with a recently completed brick built toilet block with disabled facilities. Six altar fire areas, one campfire area - no solid shelter but space for several patrol camps or one Troop camp. Chessington World of Adventures, Ashtead Woods and Epsom Common, Epsom Town (BR to London 25 minutes) within walking distance (<1 mile). Access via narrow lane unsuitable for anything larger than a minibus (300 yards to public highway) - onsite parking for no more than 6 cars.

Park Farm is the Banstead District Site and is two acres adjoining Banstead Woods and Park Downs. During 2006 many improvements have been made and are still ongoing, including a recently opened climbing / abseiling tower with climbs for all levels of skill. By the end of 2007 there will be a well equipped training room. There are now 8 new concrete altar fire places, for patrol cooking, along side the individual tent pitches. The kitchen now has a 6 ring catering cooker and double oven and a fridge freezer. A large hall is included for dining and for emergency accommodation for cub camps.

There are male and female Leader's and boy's and girl's wash rooms with hot showers.

Visit in May to see Banstead Woods as a sea of bluebells. Nature trail nearby. Chipstead Station is a short walk away for frequent trains to and from London.
