Help required to run Activities for Bazzaz
Help required to run Activities for Bazzaz

Dear Fellow Scouters,

After the outstanding success of The County Beaver Scout Days (BAZZAZ) run in 2003 and 2006 we are Bazzaz Letternow putting together BAZZAZ 2009. It will be on Saturday 13th June 2009 at Cranleigh Showground. We are writing on behalf of Beaver Scouts in Surrey to ask for your help and support in putting together this very popular event. In order to offer the Beaver Scouts the best possible day we need to have at least 3 activity or craft bases from each District. In the past we have had difficulty in doing this because most Districts have relied on their Scout Fellowship teams to put these 3 bases together. This is quite a task if your District only has a small group of supporters. Having seen the types of bases put on by leaders from other sections for both ‘SCRAM’ (Cub Scout County Day) and ‘SCOUTABOUT’, we are hoping that leaders from your District will do the same for the Beaver Scouts. Due to the number of adults needed to supervise the Beaver Scouts at this sort of event (Ratio of 1:6) the Beaver Scout section does not have enough adults to run the bases themselves and that is why we really need your help.

Please could you ask your leaders for their help in making BAZZAZ 2009 a resounding success. We know that the expertise is out there, all it needs is your help in persuading leaders to give their time and support to the youngest section. The more bases we have the better the day will be for the Beaver Scouts.

Thank you in advance for all your support.
