1st Burstow Scouts cook three course meal

1st Burstow Scouts cooked and served a three course meal for their guests, six members of the Royal British Legion (Horley Branch).

After the meal three of guest were presented with a thanks badge awarded by the Chief Scout Peter Duncan for the continuous service to Scouting.

During the presentation Ray Collins thanked the Scouts for the service and cooking of the meal and Vince Retter, a Chef himself, told the group how very impressed he was by the service. He thought the preparation and cooking of the meal was as good as you would get from a top restaurant.

The evening ended with the investiture of five Scouts into the troop by Paul Fraser, Group Scout Leader. Paul went onto to thank the Scouts and their Leader Ian Grantham for the way they conducted the meal and the close ties between the Scout Group and the Royal British Legion.
