Can you run an activity for Scoutabout?
Scoutabout is without doubt one of the most successful events organised for Scouts and Guides in Surrey and has stood the test of repetition over many years.

One of the greatest contributory factors to this success has been the number, variety and quality of the activity bases that have been provided for the young people to participate in. I am writing to seek that level of involvement once again.

We would be grateful if you and / or any other leaders or adult helpers within your Group / Company could provide an activity for the event. In the past, in addition to Scout and Guide Leaders, bases have been manned by Scout Fellowships, Young Leaders, Explorer Scouts, Ranger Guides and parents, as well. Such support is always more than welcome. Additionally, as in the past, there will be some commercially bought-in activities.

An electronic version of the Activity Proposal Form and a list of activities previously used (to help you with ideas) can be accessed at the Scoutabout Website . Please complete and return to Dave Ring as soon as possible. A hard copy of these documents can be made available for those unable to access the electronic version.

Whilst some duplication of activities can be helpful, obviously if we get too many offers of the same activity, we will have to limit this on a first received basis, so the sooner you return your form, the better. Many thanks in anticipation, from the Scoutabout Activities Team.
